I love when the Tulips start to bloom… they signal that winter is finally coming to an end and fresh new things are on the horizon. Spring and Fall are my two favorite seasons. Not too hot… not too cold… and believe me – it gets HOT in the south!
Some years it seems spring only lasts a few days… and there is a heavy blanket of pollen in those few days that hit the city, billowing out of the trees like huge yellow clouds with each wind gust… and then… BAM… summer is here and it is already 90 degrees in the shade. That is exactly what happened this year. Winter couldn’t decide if it wanted to leave, or stay a bit longer… so it teased us mercilessly… then left and 3 days later it was summer. Seriously…
