Relaxing Abstract Art Process | Creating a Watercolor Abstract With Mixed Media Details

Today I’m sharing an abstract mixed media art piece where I layer Kuretake Art Nouveau watercolors with graphite pencil, a Uniball Signo white pen, tempera paint sticks, and acrylic paint pens.

I’ll walk you through my loose process for building color blocks, adding simple mark making, and creating texture with dots, lines, and playful pattern layers. If you’re looking for abstract watercolor ideas, mixed media techniques, or an easy sampler project to warm up your creativity, this one is for you.

Looking for the supplies I used? I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used materials on one easy-to-update page here: https://2lilowls.com/favorite-supplies-for-mixed-media-abstract-art/

(Some of the links are affiliate links. If you use my link, I get a small commission, which will go toward my art supplies and to support this channel! I appreciate your support!!)

Note: I don’t list individual supply links on every post any longer, simply because keeping up with that for each video or project took more time than I have. Instead, I’ve created one easy-to-browse page where I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used art supplies. It’s always up to date, and a great place to find what I’m working with most often.
