Lets Get Creative With Food – Photography Workshop

$179.00

Welcome!! I’m so glad you are here to explore with me one of my favorite subjects to photograph – food! I would consider myself a foodie… who doesn’t really like to cook. Can that be a thing? LOL!  I love good food, and I really appreciate when other people prepare it for me.

In this workshop, we are going to really get creative with our Food Photography. To start out, I want you to keep it simple. If you love to cook and want to go all out – then definitely go for it. If you want to jump right in and get a few successes under your belt before spending your whole day cooking – then you can do what I do and visit a few of your favorite restaurants and bakeries – and pick up a few pretty goodies to photograph that are already finished and ready to style.

Check out everything this workshop includes below! The video workshops come with Online access and you can download videos to keep.

Let’s Get Creative With Food Workshop:

1 Bonus Texture Collection – Delectable is an absolutely beautiful set of textures specifically with food photography in mind. I went through all my textures I have created and tested them out with different food photos to give you the ones that work most beautifully in color tones that complement your food photography. This set has 40 fine art textures / 6000px X 4000px / 300 DPI / JPEG / and they were specifically designed to enhance your photos without overwhelming them. The secret to using textures successfully with food is subtly… You want to use the texture to enhance your vision – not compete with it.

1 Bonus Lightroom/ACR Preset Collection -Scrumptious is an absolutely beautiful set of ACRPresets that I created for you while filming this workshop. There are 50 presets in this collection which are compatible with Lightroom 7.3 and up, Camera Raw, and Photoshop Classic & CC. (Note: Not compatible with older versions of Lightroom) (If you don’t use Lightroom or Photoshop – no problem. These are simply a bonus I have added in for those who do to give a spin. You can edit in any program you feel comfortable in.)

Bonus workshop – Creating your own custom backdrops to use in your food photography setups. I will show you how I create inexpensive, lightweight backdrops that are perfect to photograph on and use as backdrops in all your food setups. I also show you some easy hacks for creating your own wood backdrop boards.

“Denise in her apron – so cute. Have you looked at the food workshop yet? Whew – lots of great stuff!! My husband is going to love “helping” me select the right dessert

“I am absolutely “loving” the food workshop, and plan to dive into the flower workshop next! I’m so excited!!!”

“I really love how you organize your classes – great info, well done and website works well. First class! Thanks.”

“Still life has kinda crept up on me all stealthy like,…my preferred style is more intimate, like what Denise does, so I am really interested to learn her tips and tricks from the new food photography workshop!”

“I love how you create your amazing art in small spaces… right up my alley.”

“I had an “aha” moment while studying these videos… Look for the soft diffused light… use the light… reflect the light… bend the light… it’s really all about that light!”

“I hope all of you who you are taking Denise’s food class will understand what happened to me today. I had a photo in mind – I actually got what I wanted… but I kept hearing Denise’s sweet voice telling me to keep shooting and don’t forget the detail shots. There was a cut green pepper in my shot but it did not make a pretty detail. So, I grabbed a whole green pepper and for a good 30 minutes…it became the most beautiful and important thing in my world!”

“I have been a serious amateur photographer for 11 years and through trial and error picked up a few “tricks”. So far I have found your course worth every penny I spent on it, it is absolutely amazing, I enjoy every second !!! It is the first time in my life I have done a course on the Internet. You are the most sharing and open photographer I have come across, the way you share tips, advice, and textures are heartwarming and extremely appreciated.”

“I have been working on your food workshop videos! They are so well presented!! You did an AWESOME job!!! :)”

53 Videos – with approx 11 hours of learning

  • We will cover the equipment I use in my food photography. It isn’t about having the most expensive equipment available – it is about using what you have and getting creative with it. I encourage you to experiment with all of the camera options you have available. I am using my DSLR, Mirrorless camera and my iPhone camera throughout this workshop to get a good variety of images that I can use.
  • We will talk about food choices you might consider doing during this workshop. To start with – I want you to keep it simple. Don’t get bogged down with the thought that you have to do all your own prepping and cooking, to begin with.
  • We will go through background options you might consider using during your food photography journey. There are lots of choices you might consider!
