Description
In this workshop, we are going to be creating a collection from an inspiring idea. I was ready to get back to my “texture roots” for this workshop and focus on specifically creating some beautiful photos with the purpose of adding textures to them to complete my idea. We’ll take a look at what inspired me, paint some new backdrops, and create some photos with our inspiration in mind. I want you to see how you might go from concept to finished art through this process and feel comfortable creating your own art from something that inspires you when you are finished.
*This workshop also includes a bonus texture collection and a bonus ACR collection for Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw for Photoshop.
Who is this workshop good for? Photographers and creatives – who love textures and want to dive into creating art after seeing things they find inspiring.
**The video workshops come with Online access and you can download videos to keep.
Inspired Workshop:
Your workshop includes 45+ Videos – with approx 9 hours of learning
- In this workshop, we are going to look at creating a series from some specific inspiration.
- We’ll start out by looking at what inspired me and talking about that inspiration in more detail.
- We’ll grab some heavy watercolor paper sheets and create some beautiful backgrounds to shoot on following our inspiration idea.
- We’ll talk about equipment, lighting, compositions, camera settings – breaking down manual settings, and some prop ideas. I want to keep it simple – so we will talk about the specifics I recommend to get you started.
- We’ll curate and photograph some setups that align with our inspiration. We’ll be shooting with textures in mind and focus on simplicity and blur.
- We’ll edit the photos (I’m using lightroom, but you are welcome to edit in any program you feel comfortable in)
- We’ll get back into our texture-loving roots and further edit our photos by adding textures and completing our vision.
- Once we have a collection photographed and edited with textures, we’ll take a moment to evaluate how successful our idea was and how the finished photos turned out.
- I want you to see how you might go from being inspired by something – pulling together a concept to shoot – to your finished series. Walk this journey with me as I show you how I create with specific inspiration in mind. Whether you create my series with me or go off in your own direction – I know you’ll love getting inspired and creating with a goal in mind for the art you create.

You can edit in any program you feel comfortable in.)
Bonus Texture Collection – The Inspired Texture Set is a gorgeous set of textures I curated specifically for creating the collection of photos from our inspiration idea in the workshop. These are beautiful and full of subtle details designed to enhance the artistic vision of the photos we’ll be creating. This set has 30 fine art textures / 6000px X 4000px / 300 DPI / JPEG.
