Playful Grid Painting with Ocean’s Paper Watercolors & Copic Markers
Join me in this relaxing mixed media art tutorial as I create a 12-piece grid painting using Ocean’s Paper handmade watercolors from Hawaii!
Inspired by a palette from the Color Cube, I walk you through how I layer rich, vibrant watercolor swatches, add expressive mark making with Copic Acrea markers, and finish with dreamy Joggles stencils and shimmering gold accents.
Whether you’re into mixed media painting, abstract watercolor techniques, or simply want to explore handmade paints and creative layering, this video is packed with ideas to spark your imagination.
Looking for the supplies I used? I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used materials on one easy-to-update page here: https://2lilowls.com/favorite-supplies-for-mixed-media-abstract-art/
(Some of the links are affiliate links. If you use my link, I get a small commission, which will go toward my art supplies and to support this channel! I appreciate your support!!)
Note: I don’t list individual supply links on every post any longer, simply because keeping up with that for each video or project took more time than I have. Instead, I’ve created one easy-to-browse page where I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used art supplies. It’s always up to date, and a great place to find what I’m working with most often.

Hi Denise! I have spent over an hour today scouring through your archives in search of the tutorial you did using the Willow Wolfe Sketchbox paints, as I immediately ordered them after I saw you demonstrate them, and I cannot find the video anywhere! Any chance you can recall which video I’m referring to? Thanks so much! ~Michelle Berens

Hmmm.. I’ve made more than 3000 videos between YouTube and all my classes – they all kinda run together for me. I don’t recall what video that might have been. 🙂
