Mixed Media Glow-Up! Watch These Samplers Become Bigger Works of Art
In this video, I’m taking the creative spark from our 12-piece sampler set and scaling it up! Using the same supplies from June’s Sketchbox (hello, creamy oil pastels!) and this month’s beautiful Stencil Club stencils, I created two larger mixed media pieces inspired by the textures, patterns, and marks we explored earlier.
I’ll walk you through my intuitive process — from layering watercolor and pastel to building bold compositions with stencils and gold accents.
If you love mixed media, mark-making, and turning small ideas into full-sized artwork, this one’s for you! Hit like, subscribe, and join me for more mixed media magic.
Looking for the supplies I used? I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used materials on one easy-to-update page here: https://2lilowls.com/favorite-supplies-for-mixed-media-abstract-art/
(Some of the links are affiliate links. If you use my link, I get a small commission, which will go toward my art supplies and to support this channel! I appreciate your support!!)
Note: I don’t list individual supply links on every post any longer, simply because keeping up with that for each video or project took more time than I have. Instead, I’ve created one easy-to-browse page where I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used art supplies. It’s always up to date, and a great place to find what I’m working with most often.
