Mixed Media Fun: Stencils, Mark Making & Bold Colors in My Art Journal
In this mixed media art journal tutorial, I create a bold and layered double-page spread in my large Dina Wakley journal using a color palette inspired by the Color Cube.
On one page, I work with Kissoh Gansai Tambi watercolors, adding texture and interest with mark making and stencils. On the facing page, I shift to acrylic paints to build contrast and depth, blending techniques for a cohesive yet dynamic spread.
Whether you're new to mixed media or looking for fresh inspiration, this video offers ideas for combining watercolors and acrylics while playing with color, texture, and pattern in your art journal.
