Kandinsky Vibes! Create Abstract Circle Art with Watercolors
Join me in this relaxing and creative mixed media tutorial as we paint a set of six concentric circles inspired by Kandinsky’s iconic abstract style.
Using Masha’s rich watercolors and a vibrant palette card from The Color Cube, we explore intuitive color play and layering. Once the watercolor base is set, we add expressive mark making with Neocolor II pastels, gold mica ink, acrylic markers, and graphite to bring depth, texture, and sparkle to each circle.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned artist, this process invites you to slow down, experiment, and connect with your inner artist. Perfect for fans of mixed media art, abstract painting, and creative journaling!
Looking for the supplies I used? I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used materials on one easy-to-update page here: https://2lilowls.com/favorite-supplies-for-mixed-media-abstract-art/
(Some of the links are affiliate links. If you use my link, I get a small commission, which will go toward my art supplies and to support this channel! I appreciate your support!!)
Note: I don’t list individual supply links on every post any longer, simply because keeping up with that for each video or project took more time than I have. Instead, I’ve created one easy-to-browse page where I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used art supplies. It’s always up to date, and a great place to find what I’m working with most often.
