Junk Art Collage Art Class
In this class, we are going to get out all the bad art we’ve created and make something amazing. You’d be surprised how well these turn out and how good you feel looking at them when you are finished. You’ll see lots of my own art experiments gone bad… and then see how amazing the finished art is after I cut them up and reassemble them into some cool collages.
I’m calling these junk art collage abstracts – because that is exactly what they are. Art that we might have just given up on and thrown away… but instead we collected them til we could create something else from them. You are going to love how easy and freeing these are. This is the perfect project to get back into doing some art if you have been in a rut or on a break!
I have been having so much fun making the Junk art collage pieces, that I decided to make another piece as a companion piece to the large Stripe Collage in class. I made this free art video for Youtube to share the class with others… and thought you might like to see it too. You can check that out below!

I just ordered this course. I have wanted to do collage for a very long time, using my photos. If I print them on Matte paper on an Epson P600, can they be used? I have read so many times that the print has to be on a laser printer. I have always loved your photography classes and this course really intrigues me. Guess, even at my age, wings are developing!
Thank you CarolAnne.
You can do collages with things you print on matte paper. I’d do a test print and play with your materials on top of it to see if you are using anything that would smear your inks. If you do smear your inks, I’d spray a spray “fixative” on your print first. Then you are good to go. Can’t wait to see what you are creating!! 🙂
