Handmade Paper Angel Tutorial

Here it is… the last tutorial in our handmade Christmas series. I love angels. Probably more so since my mom passed away 6 years ago. I like to think of her up there watching down over me as an angel in heaven. So I have a special affinity for angels and wings. These are perfect for decorations, adding to your gift wrapped gifts instead of bows, and are really fun for props in your Christmas sets.

This might be the easiest paper angel you’ll ever make and I know you’ll love how beautiful they turn out! After experimenting with a few different papers I preferred using the wrapping paper for these. It is lightweight and folded the nicest for this little angel project. The other papers seemed too thick – but don’t be afraid to experiment some for yourself and see what you like best. I’m using 2 different wrapping papers and some heavy-duty thread in this project.

I hope you’ll give a few of these a try using some of your leftover wrapping papers! If you love these – let me know in the comments below! xoxo Denise

Denise, I’m very sorry to hear you lost your mom. I lost mine, too, to cancer. Hopefully, they are smiling up a storm, knowing we are doing OK. Thanks for your lovely angels. They are beautiful and a lovely way to honor your mom. Can’t wait to give these a try, too! {{{hugs!}}} Merry Christmas!
