From Provence to Paper: Handmade Watercolors with Natural Ocher

In today's video, I'm super excited to share something special with you all! My friend's awesome mom brought back some incredible pigments all the way from Provence, specifically from Roussillon—the picturesque village nestled in the heart of the Luberon park, surrounded by the enchanting land of cicadas. Can you believe it? These pigments come from the largest ocher basin in the whole world, the Pays d'Apt basin, known for its vibrant colors and rich history.

So, what did I do with these magical ocher pigments? Well, I took them and created a set of 15 stunning watercolors! These colors are all-natural, rustic, and give my art a beautiful abstract touch. It's incredible to think that natural ocher has been used as a pigment since prehistoric times! From Lascaux to my art studio, it's a journey through time and color.

I used these unique watercolors to create four breathtaking paintings that truly capture the essence of Roussillon's charm. So, join me on this artistic adventure as I explore the wonders of natural ocher and unleash my creativity on paper. Let's dive into the world of color, culture, and craftsmanship together. Hit that play button, and let's get started!

Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share this video with fellow art enthusiasts. Your support means the world to me, and I can't wait to see what you think of these creations. Thanks for being a part of my art journey, and I'll see you in the video! 🎨✨

I cannot wait to try this out!!!!

I am soooo excited. And in this one video I have found out what I’ve been looking for to make me relax and go with the flow. All my watercolor paint is not hard enough for me to get comfortable. So far what I really like are muted tones and the soft paint is too vibrant to my liking. But I love this technique. Thank you!!
