From Frustration to Inspiration | Abstract Watercolor & Creative Transformation
In this video, I create two abstract paintings using Masha’s watercolors in a warm fall color palette from The Color Cube, layering with NeoColor II pastels and playful stencil work.
Not every painting goes as planned, and I share how one piece I struggled with turned into something new by cutting it into heart-shaped art prompts for my creative jar.
This process shows how even “failed” artwork can become a source of inspiration and beauty. If you enjoy mixed media techniques, watercolor experiments, and creative ways to repurpose your art, this video will spark fresh ideas for your own practice.
Looking for the supplies I used? I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used materials on one easy-to-update page here: https://2lilowls.com/favorite-supplies-for-mixed-media-abstract-art/
(Some of the links are affiliate links. If you use my link, I get a small commission, which will go toward my art supplies and to support this channel! I appreciate your support!!)
Note: I don’t list individual supply links on every post any longer, simply because keeping up with that for each video or project took more time than I have. Instead, I’ve created one easy-to-browse page where I’ve listed all my favorite and most-used art supplies. It’s always up to date, and a great place to find what I’m working with most often.
