I love this quote by Dr. Seuss. It really hones in on the point I want to make for you today. You are the reason that people will be drawn to your business.

I know that it sometimes looks like an overcrowded marketplace and it seems like there are so many other people out there doing what you want to do. You look at them and question yourself, your ideas, your dreams and wonder if you can even do this.

The thing is – that we are all drawn to different types of people. We either like them or we don’t and when we find someone we genuinely like – we are going to go with them over someone we don’t like. Maybe it’s how they speak, what they say, how they teach… whatever it is – we are drawn to some over others for one reason or another.

So the thing that is going to make your business stand out from someone else’s business is YOU. People who are drawn to you will buy from you. You need to let your true personality shine and let that attract a tribe around you that loves you and what you have to offer. The personality you infuse into your business is what will help it stand out over all the stale, boring businesses out there that only show off their logo.

People connect with people, not logos.

Show your face.

Talk to your community.

Put your personality out there and let that shine in everything you do.

It doesn’t matter if there are 50 businesses out there just like yours – they are still all going to be slightly different. You are all going to present what you have to offer in different ways. Some people will be better at it than others. Some people will have better sales copy, better images, a more professional website, etc… and these differences are what will attract someone to one business over another.

It is your job to do the best you can do with what you have to offer and build an audience around that. You be you. That is what will make your little business a success.

Be genuine.

Be authentic.
