I have been playing with a new camera and lens this week. The Canon 5D Mark iii and the Canon 24-70 2.8 lens. They are sweet for sure! They shoot and focus so smoothly. I got them at KEH – which is the largest used camera store out there and local to me, so I placed my order and drove to the other side of Atlanta and picked up the new set. I highly┬árecommend KEH if you want to save a bit of money on your gear and get really nice used quality. These both look brand new and were about 1/2 the price of the same pieces new. I am thrilled!

For this set up I have an old cookie sheet surface I’m set up on by my favorite window to photograph at. I have my old crate on the table in the background just to suck up some light. I have a linen cloth off to the side and some powdered sugar spread around with an old sifter to add to the story of the creampuff.

I have the light coming in from the window softly from the left side and all off the lights in the room off so I only have the natural light on my setup.

For these photos, I was using my Canon 24-70 2.8 lens. I use it set on about f3.2 with the ISO at 100.

*These were processed with the Brocante Preset collection – preset 11.
