Color Mixing in a Dina Wakley Ledger: Inspired by the Zorn Palette

In this video, I’m diving into color mixing and abstract painting in my Dina Wakley Ledger Journal, inspired by the classic Zorn Palette. Known for its simplicity and versatility, the Zorn Palette—traditionally Vermilion, Ivory Black, Flake White, and Yellow Ochre—has been a favorite of artists for generations.

I’ve slightly modified the palette to match the colors I had on hand, creating a beautiful, cohesive color study. Watch as I create a color palette swatch page and then turn it into an abstract painting using these rich tones.
