In this video, I am going to edit this peony photo with the Foraged Presets and the Wax Storms texture collection. I am using the Meyer-Optik 50mm 1.8 Oreston lens on this series. The is an older lens that I got off eBay.
Playing in my tiny studio this week since I have some flowers to work with. The peonies are opening up so nicely and look at all that yummy texture in the layers of petals.
I love shooting with a variety of lenses that would be considered a bit more unconventional. Most of these lenses are manual lenses – some new and some antique. I especially love using antique film lenses because they are fairly inexpensive. People sell them cheap because they think they have no value and a lot of photographers don’t think to use them, maybe are scared of them or confused about how they would work with their equipment. If you are intrigued with the thought of these lenses and want some detail videos in how to use them and the photos you might get – then check out the new workshop in texture club on using unconventional lenses!
