{About Me}

When I first picked up a camera I had no idea where the journey would lead me! I am a very visual person – always looking for the next thing that will inspire me. I am driven to create things. Over the years this drive has manifested itself in painting, drawing, sewing, making jewelry, metal smithing, and now photography. In the year 2000 I became obsessed with making Poloriod transfers in my Daylab… that was very cool.  I’d say that was the beginning of my journey to create art with my photography.

I picked up my first DLSR camera in 2009 and went out every weekend shooting with local photography clubs. Photography has introduced me to some of the greatest people. In 2011 I embarked on an ambitious project – the 365 day project and I do not exaggerate when I tell you that this project changed my life. Seriously – I would not be where I am today had it not been for doing that project.

In 2012 I got inspired to do more with my photography and created 2 Lil’ Owls Studio. Starting a new business by yourself is hard, but I am determined to overcome all the obstacles.  If something could be done wrong – then I’ve done it twice! Lol! This venture has become so much more than I ever imagined. It is the perfect outlet for all the designs and ideas swirling around in my head. It allows me to share the knowledge I have with others. It keeps me inspired to create new things everyday. Art is a Journey and I hope I never tire of this path.
