HI!  Working a Waterlily recipe today..  I love to experiment and see what I can come up with.. and this is a good one! This is the finished photo. *************************************** This is the photo I started with.  No adjustments at all. Straight out of camera. Then I cropped the photo.  Adjusted the color slightly, added some sun flair to the right side, and cleaned up some of the blemishes on the leaves. Next I added French Brocante texture 5 from set 8 @60% Hardlight Lastly I added a solid color fill layer in this brown color and changed the blending mode to “color” @64% to give the photo that great vintage feel.  Hope you are having a great...

Hydrangea – New photo recipe

Whew.. Its hot out there!  I’m going back to Gibbs Gardens tomorrow.. Going to have some new stuff to play with – Right now there are Acres of Crape Myrtles, Roses, Waterlilies, and Perennials now in full bloom.  Fun stuff!  Below is a Hydrangea I took while at Gibbs on the last visit.. finished photo ***************************************************** straight out of camera photo with no edits Cropped with some color edits Then I added Texture 1 from Farmhouse Chic set 11 on 61% Hardlight Then I added Texture 4 from Farmhouse chic set 11 on 100% Softlight.  Both textures have some light masking on the main flower part. Both of these textures are made from my family papers from the 1800’s.  I love adding a little bit of history to my art!  After the textures I added a slight blue haze to finish it off.
