I cropped it.. color adjusted it.. and cleaned the spots off the leaves.. then sharpened it before I added the texture. Then I added Texture 6 from Farmhouse Shabby set 2 – Twice.. Hope everyone has had a great weekend!!  This photo was taken at Gibbs Gardens.  I was there in the middle of the day.. so I had a little white photographer’s umbrella to shade off the sun – and the butterfly just sat there posing for me!! This is the finished photo.. ******************************* This is the photo I started with.. Adjusted the color slightly, took some dirty spots off the flower petals.. and of course sharpened it before I added the texture – which is my own personal preference. Then I added texture 2 from Farmhouse chic set 15.  This texture is cool.. I used an old envelope and some old letters from my family to create this. I added it twice – once @53% Divide and once at 15% Softlight.  I also added a soft blue haze to the top of the photo after the textures were added. Have a great...

Beautiful flower.. I love the Dalia!  New photo recipe for you today..   This is the finished photo.. So soft and pretty… with a bit of nostalgia added with the texture. ************************************************************* This is the photo I started with.. saturated and sharpened.. I left it a little dark knowing that the texture I was adding would lighten it up a little. This is texture #4 from Farmhouse Chic collection 5.  I love these textures – this was created with the old papers brushes I made from old family papers.. makes me feel like each piece of art I create with them has a little bit of my family history embedded in them..   This was added to the photo twice at 100% softlight both times and some soft masking on the center of the flower.
