Cone flower – New photo recipe

Cone flower – New photo recipe

Hope everyone is staying cool on this *Hot* day!  The temp on my car thermometer  was 108 when I got in it today to come home.. Hot Hot Hot!!!  Today I have a new photo recipe using the new brush set – plasterwalls and grunge set.. and one of the new Farmhouse shabby textures… I have really been having fun with these sets!  Check out this beautiful flower below!   Finished photo ***************************************************************** This is the photo I started with.  I did some minor color correction and some sharpening before adding the textures and the brushes.  My personal preference on the sharpening.. I just don’t like it when the texture is added and then the photo is sharpened. I then added textures #30 @100% softlight…  from the Farmhouse shabby set 2 Then I added these 4 brushes to the photo – 2 are from the plasterwalls/grunge brush set and the 2 script brushes are in the vintage papers brush set. A trip though little towns..

A trip though little towns..

Went out yesterday and took tons of new photos in some little old towns in Ga.   Amazing what you can find.  We went through Bostwick, Rutledge (home of the Sunflower festival), Buckhead ( not downtown), Farmington, and Bishop.. may have been a few more towns in there.. I got to go into a little old store that was closed – but the owner happened by and let us in for 5 minutes.. I gots some very cool photos of an old cash register.. they don’t make things as pretty as they used to!   I got to wander though an old building that housed old cotton machines in one of the little towns.. We wandered though the coolest old house that was abandoned in Bostwick.. that made the whole day!!  Had a great lunch at the caboose in Rutledge..  Below is one of my favorite finds of the day.. it is the old plaster walls in the abandoned house in Bostwich.. this was right at the staircase – it is all that remains of the finial that was on the staircase.. how cool is that?  It made the coolest outline on the wall and the crack just adds to it.  What a great day exploring places I’ve never been.  ...
